Fresh Hotness

Louie is our new, sweet, cute, house trained, obedient dog. I adopted him this past weekend and it's been Heaven ever since. Minus the stink factor (he tends to fart with reckless abandon). Uhm, and he's not neutered so we are working on him controlling his hormones. He can't get neutered soon enough! He does tricks like sit, lay down, stay, go to your crate and hopefully I will discover more. Probably the best part of having Louie is that Chris actually likes him, maybe even loves him. I'm so grateful he gave me another chance to get this whole dog thing right. He truly is awesome!

Farewell Itzy

Well folks, this is really sad to say, but this will be the last Itzy post EVER. I just wanted to let you all know that Itzy and I broke up just after Christmas. We left things on good terms and all, but it's still been pretty emotional for me. We tried for a long time to work out a compromise but it just didn't work out. She liked peeing on our carpets, scratching our rugs up, and snapping at young children, babies, Mother in-law, friends. . . you get the picture. She sends her love and wants you all to know she's moved on and is living a great life on some other chicks lap.

Hughett Week

Chris and I had some fun filled Hughett time this past week. My Mom and Dad came down from Idaho to enjoy the warmth and visit us and my sister LaDawn and her fam. It was a pretty active week. Chris went to the big car auction with my Dad and bro. in law Carlos, us girls went to the Chihully (spelling?) exhibit, we celebrated my Dad's 65th birthday, had an awesome dinner at Red White & Brew, sewed valances for my kitchen and living room, went to an aboretum, planted a bunch of plants in my front and back yard, my Dad kept busy doing some awesome home improvements on our house. . . . this list is getting long. You get the point, we had FUN! So much fun in fact that I cried the whole way home from dropping them off at the airport and then some more when I got back to our VERY quiet house. Geesh!!! But I am grateful, and I'm sure they will be too, that at the end of the week I missed them that much. Now I can't wait to get back up to Idaho and see them sometime this summer.

Arboretum hike.

This is what my new beautiful valances look like. I love them!

Guitars and Glass

Saturday night we went to my sister LaDawn's house to hang out with her family and my parents. My parents and Chris and I all got a chance to learn how to play Guitar Hero and Wii.

Roger telling my dad all about how to play Wii.

More Wii fun with Mom and Dad.

Chris getting animated playing Guitar Hero.

On Monday my Mom, sister, her son and I went to the Desert Botanical Garden to see the Chihuly display and a whole lotta cactus.

I had a great time walking around in 74 degrees! Perfect.

Eight-0-One!

Happy New Year! We celebrated the New Year with an overdose of family fun time. We drove up to St. George to spend the night with my mom's parent's before driving up to S.L.City on Wednesday in time to catch my Grandpa's birthday party. My New Year's resolution is take take MORE pictures of US. Sometimes this means I take the ridiculous self-portrait with an outstretched arm and a point-and-shoot camera.
We spent a little time one afternoon at temple square to do the touristy stuff you have to do when you come to UT.

And I had never been to this spot where many people get their wedding pictures taken but Johnna thought I should probably scope it out in case I get the chance to shoot a wedding in Salt Lake City.

We also got to take a trip to Kamas, UT to see some of Johnna's family including her grandpa who also had a birthday. Johnna was sad that we didn't remember to take pictures with them as she doesn't get to see them often.
