Chris hasn't been getting the job done in the pics department around here. . . Well, at least not of Crew, I should say. He's been really busy with a lot of weddings. . . So I decided to take matters into my own hands. Here are pics I took/edited of Crew at five weeks. The quilts were made by Grandma Cheryl Hughett and the rocking chair is Grandma Sherrie Paxmans. 
I think his ticked off face is pretty cute too.

If you've spent anytime checking out my photography blog you have noticed that I almost never take pictures of newborn babies. It is SO HARD to do and it takes forever and when you tell them to "lift your chin just a little" they will seriously sit there, and ignore you, and not lift their chin a little!
We sure think our little guy is stinkin adorable but we are going to have to work on the modeling skillz...cuz to-date he isn't in love with getting his picture taken...yet....
better get used to it junior, it's part of the job description!

Supposed to be induced at 3pm on Friday, 'Labor Delivery' called to let us know that they were too busy for us and so we had to wait. Johnna got anxious and called later at 8pm and they told us that we could come on down.
9:00pm- Checking in at Banner Gateway
Settled in and plugged into all the machines an hour later.
after a long night, and a long morning and starting into the next afternoon, Crew was finally delivered.

We are crossing our fingers that this is the last belly shoot. Things are going great! I've been dilated at a 3 for 3 weeks now. . . But at least there seems to be an end in sight since I am 39 weeks. I can honestly say I have fulfilled every possible craving I could have had, taken every nap time opportunity possible and have everything a baby could ever need/want. We are ready (If there is such a thing as being 'ready' for your first baby)!

Me and Skippy had quite the scare today when we found this in the hallway next to the garage door. We both thought for sure that Johnna had been whisked away to heaven in the blink of an eye and that this pile of flip-flops, jeans, and shirt were to be the only sign the miraculous event.
Actually this happens all the time. Poor Johnna is going through the final trimester of her pregnancy and bearing the brunt of our dreadful Mesa Arizona summers. Anytime she has to go out to do errands or anything this is a pretty standard practice to help cool down immediately upon returning the privacy of our home.
I guess it is a good think that I don't believe in "The Rapture" ...or I would seriously get freaked out by this on a regular basis.
