The Massacre of the Oleander plant.

When I first built our home here in La Fortina the front yard came landscaped. Included in this landscape was a couple of Oleander bushes. Over the last couple of years I have grown to love these bushes and we have grown and flourished together. They blocked people from seeing in our front window and they provided shade from the scorching AZ sun. Well today Johnna found a pair of $9 gardening shears at BigLots and went to town on MY bushes. The once proud and ominous Oleander bushes are now flaccid, hollow, and stubby shells of their former selves. I just hope and pray that these little guys survive Johnna's reckless slaughter.

We are in Pinetop

The primary reason that I am posting tonight is so that when I open up the blog the first thing I see will no longer be that annoying picture of Fabio. Anyways... we are in Pinetop this weekend. Dallas is doing his homecoming talk on Sunday. We are doing family pictures tomorrow. Today me and Ashley and Brett went to Sunrise and snowboarded for a little while but I found out that I am getting too old and I was sore by noon so we quit. Johnna and I went to lunch with my dad, went cell phone shopping w/ Dallas and had a pretty chill day.

Dolla Dolla Bills Y'all

Friday Chris and I partied like it was 1999. (At least I thought it was a good time anyways. . .) We went to the Phoenix Art Walk. There was incense in the air, emo's, hippies and best of all, ART. It reminded me how we all have different interpretations of what art is.

Saturday we had an impromptu garage sale. Our hood was having one so Chris woke up early and thought, what the heck, let's sell some stuff! Most people's garage sales get pretty sparse as the hours go by, but we just kept throwing more and more junk out as time past. I was too shy for the garage sale masses, so Chris wheeled and dealed with everyone. He had a story for every item out there. In the end we made over a hundee. Woot! Woot!

For Tami

Just because you can do something....
...doesn't mean you should.
What do you think of Itsy's makeover?

Bum Naked

I begged Chris to do glamor shots of Itzy. At first she wasn't so sure about the whole thing, but than her inner diva came out. To get the full effect of just how truly ugly she really is, I took her sweater off. Chris said he felt dirty taking pictures of her without her clothes on. . . needless to say, the shoot didn't last long.

Week-in-review

So last Sunday the talks went pretty Ok, but I don't think they'll ask us to speak again for a while. Dallas came home the next day and that was fun. We took him to the mall real quick, and costco and he wanted to do lunch at freekin Red Lobster (I'm not a big seafood fan and neither is Johnna. but it was ok.) I guess he started working at the ski resort the next day. We are going up for his homecoming in a couple weeks and I think I have Johnna talked into trying snowboarding!! wish us luck!
