Happy Birthday Chris!

Today is Chris's 28th Birthday, and boy, I tell ya, he doesn't look a day over 27. Ohhhh, what can I say about the day the world became a better place. . . Chris is one incredible guy, I haven't met a single person who doesn't like/love him. He works his tail off both at UOP and Paxman Photography, and after all that he still finds time to do the dishes, give me loves, make me laugh and play laser tag with our dog. I'm one lucky lady to have Chris.

Here is a trip down memory lane.

Kids say the darndest things...

So kids do say the darndest things but since I don't yet have any chattering kiddos I get to tell the world all the funny little things that Johnna says! She seriously does say silly things all the time and I always say that I am gonna write them down and then I never do. I guess this is alot of background to say that Johnna just told me that I am "Coco in the cabeza"

Yesterday Chris and I had a great time walking Skippy around the dog park. Oh, what's that you say, Dog Park?!?! Please. . . Don't act so surprised.

Our Turn

Chris and I had our pictures taken by Crystal Lilly this week. We are fast approaching our two year anniversary so it was really nice to get some current portraits of us together. Can't say we love the changes in our physique's. . . But we are still truck'n and love'n and that's the most important thing. Crystal really did a wonderful job and made it fun for us too. You can take a look at her photography work at: http://calartistry.blogspot.com

Ostrich Festival

Yesterday Chris and I went to the Ostrich Festival with his Cousin Tyler and his wife Chelsea. We had tons of fun!!!

This was the first thing we went to and it was INCREDIBLE! I think I could of died happy after seeing the sea lion show. I also realized I've completely missed my calling in life. If I had a do over I would totally be working at Sea World (which I have never been to). . . Not so sure the fair circuit would do it for me.

Next we went to the Thrill Seeker show (or whatever it was called). This was pretty wild and made us a little nervous we were going to see this guy plummet to his death at any given moment.

The zebra was quite cute and even took time to show us how it pee peed.

And then there were these little guys!! I think this is my next crazy pet. They were so dang cute. I know goats are nasty mean animals that destroy things. . . But I'm not sure I can resist one, or two. I mean, how bad can farm animals be?

Game Night

Last night we played a rip roaring game of. . .

Chris and I quickly realized (ahem, or at least I did) that we are not expert strategists when it comes to phase ten, or any other game for that matter.

We did have a great time with our friends J.C. and Nikki though. I was so glad Chris was able to break away from photo editing for a couple hours so we could get out of the house and have some fun.

On a side note, we got rid of Louie. We discovered he had started marking his territory in our house and I sold his bum on craigslist that same day. Don't worry, no more pets for us. Geesh! After Louie I don't even want anymore.

Louie Update

I have been waiting to give an update on life with Louie until I felt I had something nice to say about him again. At first I thought Louie could do no wrong because he was house trained and knew how to sit. Of course given some time, we got to know the real Louie. I have been working on letting Louie know his place in the family. I don't think he has quite grasped he is a dog. It's taken about four weeks but I think I am finely starting to see some progress. Due to many water squirts to the head Louie has decided humping Momma is just not worth it. A miracle!! I was seriously beginning to wonder if I'd ever be able to break him of that. He is also getting more and more used to the idea that Chris and I are mates, not he and I. As for the farts and slobber, I'm afraid those things will never come to an end. . . Especially if Chris does not stop sneaking him food!

This is Louie taking my place on the office chair after I went to sleep.
